Meziechi Nwogu, to its credit China has experienced unprecedented growth and has lifted millions of its people out of poverty.

Essentially China opened its economy to trade with the world and now rivals the U.S. as the greatest economy. Of course Americans have benefitted enormously by the success of China and will continue to do so even should their economy become larger than ours.

The success of China shouldn't be viewed as a defeat of the U.S.. A strong and continued engagement with China will serve us best but unfortunately public sentiment is moving in the opposite direction. A wall is being built between the two countries which will hurt prosperity (and security) for both.

We should immediately remove the (Trump and now Biden) tariffs from all Chineese imports. They cost the average American household around $500 to $1000 per year.

Many thanks.
