Me also. And this makes us too comfortable and forgetful. And, it doesn't help us that history (at least in America) is not an "in demand" subject -- because, who really needs it?

Both my parents were front line in WWII and so I grew up with some knowledge and curiosity of how, why and what NOT to repeat. Later generations don't have this help.

Your last paragraph is particularly important.
