Max, I'm uncertain how many share this sentiment. Do you place China into the same category?

I present a different take on the Ukrainian war in "Time for America and NATO to Act?" which I invite you to read.

American isolation or restriction of relationships with only "friendly" countries will not bode well for a prosperous or secure future.

On a very base level, Russia supplies the world with valuable oil, gas, and other raw resources. Ukraine has valuable agricultural products, including much of the world's grain.

Beyond trade, both countries are enormously rich culturally, which many in the West would like to continue enjoying.
