America has played a pathetically weak role from the day of the initial attack (although there were some in the press who understood what was happening). While America could not make Israel respond differently, President Biden failed to declare what Israeli actions it would support and those it would not.

Netanyahu got the OK from Biden to do his "mighty vengeance." No later talk in Bibi's ear or Blinken running around like a schoolboy would make a difference.

This White House's behavior mostly continues. No calls for restraint will be heeded without America making the consequences crystal clear to the Israeli Administration.

But Biden is in trouble with his 2024 rerun and lacks the nouse and resolve to manage this crisis and now human catastrophe. The least worst thing is that Biden has become Netanyahu's chump.
