Mark Hammons, I agree that Medium has become insular -- and smaller. I enjoyed reading articles from The Atlantic and NYT and they have gone without others taking their place.

I write a few short political pieces for Medium but the readership in tiny. The subject matter makes a difference to the number of responses.
