Yes, we have to deal with our current situation. As grim as things are, opportunities can present themselves.

Change and determination have to come from secular and moderate Israelis. They must be made safe for bold moves to occur (something that Netanyahu's prime ministership failed).

The two-state solution, back in mind, may facilitate another better solution.

Working from some positives is helpful. Israelis and Palestinians need each other for growth and prosperity, which reinforces security. A closer business and political alliance between moderates from each side can counter the extremes; there was a glimpse before Netanyahu's recent takeover.
