Liz Cheney lost her job for precisely this. That people's votes count.

If Cheney isn't a hero, then tell me who is. We don't have to believe in all she stands for, but she deserves our congratulations in these circumstances.

We don't harm ourselves by being thankful.

The Democrats (and America) needed the Jan 6th hearings to be powerful, and they were primarily because of Liz Cheney.
