Lauren Martinchek, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has a voice and to her credit she has raised questions needing answers and solutions — climate change, role of government and private sector etc.

We live in democracy, however, and simply shouting dissatisfaction like Bernie Sander, is not going to make good solutions happen. A proper discussion needs to take place, with many people, and not just with a small group (however disgruntled) shouting. Building walls is not productive (same as border with Mexico), and alienation from others, particularly of the same party, runs the risk of confinement to an inefective fringe (like the Tea Party).

The likelihood of Sanders winning a general election (even against an incompetent incumbent the likes of Donald Trump) is almost zero (very similar to the overwhelming defeat of Jeremy Corbyn in the UK).

But, maybe the objective for AOC and supporters is to lose the general election.
