Lauren Elizabeth, the story here is NOT about Hillary Clinton. It's that alternatives are being looked at to replace either Joe Biden or Kamala Harris as candidate for the 2024 presidency.

This is a good thing. It is sign that some Domocrats are waking up to the reality that the ducks lined up are not good bets.

Fortunately there is plenty of talent from which to choose. Clinton would be a long way down on the list to my mind. Certainly talented and was a decent Secretary of State, but too old and proven dreadful candidate.

Pete Buttigieg is probably top of the list -- clever, extraordinary communicator, is able to see the big picture and (important) has a leg in the middle of the country.

A real left wing candidate would need to be a populist to win. Bernie is too old and although most valuable, as President? Not what is needed.
