Lauren Elizabeth, minimum wages are an archaic and clumsy way of addressing economic mobility. Where labor fails to return $17 per hour to the employer, the job won't exist or will be automated where possible.

A better option is to establish a Base Income for all in America. It can be done and would have broad support.
