Lauren Elizabeth. The moratoriums on rent and morgages were bad policies in the first place. Folk were set up to end in tragedy as the consequences were never thought through. Getting money directly into people's pockets made sense (as with cash payouts and enhanced unemployment benefits) but not putting holds on payments for housing. And. now we have a mess which states are trying to tidy up.

Federal money is there to pay for the issue but getting it out to people in need is cumbersome. Going forward some sort of UBI would help and avoid any master control of the landlord / tenant system.
