Kay Valley, housing people is something we should be able to do whether it be in Ontario of the U.S.

Now is a time for some bold actions and giving everyone a house is certainly bold.

I suspect it's similar in Canada but here it's part of the American dream to own a house on some land. We may be better off if shatter this idea. Spawling housing in lots is a dreadful waste of resources. And today there are other ways for families and individuals to housed and save and invest money.

What I would suggest is not buy houses for people but simply put money in their pockets to go out and buy one if they wish. Or secure whatever kind of housing that suits their needs.
