Katherine Valentino, Democrats would be wise to get off the Joe Manchin stuff. It's not helpful. He is really not the reason BBB failed and should never have been counted on to deliver it. He's an anomaly being a Democratic senator in a majority Republican state.

The problem is Democrats don't have enough people voting for them. Particularly in local places in the middle of the country where they abandoned people who quite naturally went for Republicans who filled the void. Democrats desperately need to put time, work and money into places where folk don't look like them. Using a megaphone from Washington doesn't work however good is offered.

Manchin will be good to vote for something he can.

Parts of BBB can be brought together quietly and then presented as a success.
