Katharine, Gone Original Party, perhaps?

Republican obstructionism has removed them from politics. By politics, I mean, listening, proposing, debating, dealing, compromising, resolving, and agreeing.

Newt Gingrich was perhaps the biggest obstructor, and the price for Republicans has been permanent opposition and incapability to lead or govern. It's fitting that the GOP has no platform because they see no future.

The party's remains could gather under a talented leader and form a NEW Republican Party. They are positioned to make substantial changes that the Democrats have difficulty with, although they currently appear blind.

Healthcare, immigration, UBI, etc., could all be championed successfully by NEW Republicans.

Many thanks, and best for 2023.
