Katharine, Christmas can be a time of the year when we can connect with folk that we otherwise don't -- all benefit.

To end world hunger? We have come a long way. Famines in China and India were common when I was a child, and now they are no longer. China has lifted itself, with the engagement of the West, to take over the economic might of the U.S. -- possibly. An Indian company owns Jaguar and Land Rover -- two British icons.

We have a fantastic opportunity because of the climate crisis to get the developing world up to speed and all out of poverty.

One of the things the rich world can do immediately is let more people from the developing world into their countries. This would have a massive influence on world hunger, and the West would prosper from it.

Always best to you.
