Although time is pressing and difficult, Democrats can set up a competition to find a young, talented, likable nominee to replace Biden.

I can think of a dozen candidates. We will get the strongest nominee by avoiding early fixation on a particular candidate and identity criteria. Focus on the mission, "Who can do the best job as leader of our country?"

The competition would be exciting and invigorating for voters -- and America.

Pressure must be increased on Biden to exit. He has been given too much time and respite already.
