John, in many ways, the GOP is already dead. It is isolationist, protectionist, and not fiscally responsible. It has no platform or projection into the future and little interest in policy, which has removed it from politics. I don't view it as a political party anymore. There are many to blame. Newt Gingrich is likely the most responsible, while Donald Trump just happened to be there.

A New Republican Party could be formed and be successful with talented leadership. It could capture many issues typically considered Democratic territory and fashion solutions. Much depends on who takes over from the Trump nonsense.

Many thanks. Best.
