John, I'm not sure if the evidence exists that less availability of alcohol means less crime and healthcare costs. We can compare different states and different countries. Kansas with Missouri have the most and least restrictive laws.

Your guy at the the ball park, I'm sure really annoying --even dangerous, but not a reason to change laws.

I am delighted that in Miami while buying tuna I can also buy the pinot. Back in Connecticut I was obliged to visit the wine shop where it was something of a protected Mom and Pop business where they knew nothing about what they sold -- or cared to. My Wyn Dixie around the corner knows nothing about wine either, but I can check it out with the food.
