John,

I'm dubious about Harris in the prosecutor position. Why would it work now when It failed last time? She is running for the top job in the executive branch, not the judicial branch. Harris can step onto an elevated platform by leaving that role to Jack Smiths.

The choice for VP is Harris's first big decision; it must be hers.

I'm dubious of reaching for the white male governor, especially if they are old. Even astronauts may not deliver states, and history is mixed. The NYT and groupthink can make their lists, but, as I say, the pick must be Harris's, and she is ready to defend.

Pete Buttigieg is young, clever, and has the communication skills to reach voters quickly and effectively. Harris has a history of being a poor campaigner and would benefit from his help. It would be noticed that Burttigieg could do the presidential job.

Many thanks. Best.
