It meant listening and possibly comprehending what was happening, resisting knee-jerk and jerk responses of blowing balloons out of the sky, using $450 missiles to down $12 American hobbyist's kites -- and missing them.

Some Williamson love could have kept the balloons and whatever flying, and we would have learned more and not made complete dicks out of ourselves.
