I agree that the protestors' direction is confusing.

Demanding universities to divest anything Israeli is about as immediately helpful to Palestinian civilians as America placing sanctions on Russia when Putin had his tanks on the Ukrainian border.

Interestingly, the Biden Administration has not been a target of most student protesters. They could be demanding limiting American arms shipped to Israel and an end to the war.

In the ongoing negotiations concerning the release of hostages, Hamas is demanding a permanent cease-fire. Israel should accept.
