John,

My intuition is that Trump's conviction won't make a difference in the election.

However, Democrats should use this momentary boost in confidence not to sit back in a Jonathon Capehart smart but to take BOLD action that could significantly strengthen their chances of retaining the White House.

If Democrats can't find the way or the stomach to replace Biden at an open convention, they should swap out Kamala Harris, who contributes little to the campaign, with someone who can help.

The ideal person at hand is Buttigieg, who can brilliantly communicate for lackluster Joe Biden.

Lacklusters don't usually win presidencies without enormous help. Biden's vanity will prevent him from asking, but others around him should insist. Perhaps remind him that should he lose, Biden and his legacy will be toast.

Best.
