The circumstances you point to could be that moment.

Although I image the downfall being coupled with a pull back of support by a handful of key Republicans led possibly by McConnell.

Another Trump presidency would be dangerous, and in ways we can't even imagine.

I see it as essential for Democrats to dramatically strengthen their candidate for 2024 because both Biden and Harris are qualified to lose. Nothing public can be done before the midterms but immediately beyond them.
