Jim, yes, if that is doable. It may prove not to be and a compromise made which gives Putin nothing beyond what is absolutely necessary.

Russia beyond the war is something that we can't ignore. It's in our interest that Russia be a prosperous and secure nation. Although, as you suggest, the new Russia could be much smaller as many states have a new opportunity for autonomy.
