Jessica Valenti, it is certainly sad when your candidate is looked over for another. A bunch of things come into play including democracy (an imperfect system, but we have not found a better one).

There are many reasons why Elizabeth Warren did not pull through or maintain her height of the Fall. To her credit, she introduced reality to an idealistic notion (the healthcare thing), but the public was not prepared to face this — Bernie was able to float aloft with the gods.

Warren had her plans, but never really painted an appealing vision for America and what can be achieved — a little Andrew Yang like who pointed to valid issues but in a way was confined by his solutions.

Warren placed an enormous amount of talent, effort and skill into her campaign and should be noted for that. She won The New York Times endorsement with Amy Klobuchar which was great (I was critical of that at the time “Elizabeth Warren and Amy Klobuchar for President. The New York Times — Just What Were You Thinking” published here on MEDIUM).

Really sorry your candidate did not do better but don’t believe it was because she was a woman.
