Jaspal Subhlok, Andrew Yang did a spectacular job promoting a base income. Without him, you would likely not be talking about it.

You list many excellent reasons for America to adopt a basic income. A huge reason can be added. A basic income can make America more competitive (efficient) globally. America would be able to unleash its engines of productivity of innovation, trade, and immigration which are currently suffocated because of fear.

Andrew Yang's figure of $1000 per month was cautious. The actual figure is at least double that, and it can pay for itself.
