The disconnect between the three parties was disturbing. The concerned and grieving parents were props for popularity-seeking politicians pointing fingers at young business leaders who had just arrived on a spaceship from another planet.

If it were meant to be an exchange, it wasn't.

Unsurprisingly, Mark Zuckerberg's address to the families was hollow. In his defense, the more genuine the speech, the more disingenuous it would have been.

Perhaps each had individual achievements, but nothing crossed the party lines.
