It's not theft Michael. Are subsidies to farmers and salaries to teachers theft? As part of a democracy you agree to them and hopefully the decisions are decent ones. I advocate a basic income for all because it would release potential in many more people and stabilize our social and economic structure to lessen the chances of Donald's and Brexits happening. Free university and healthcare - no! but I'd put money directly into people's pockets (it was a Milton Friedman suggestion from way back -- no left winger).
