It's all very unfortunate, Hossein. Why are we not seeing the possible consequences?

The United Nations is an institution built in significant part by America, and it's the best we have for the 'rules-based order' that we preach.

America is undermining the very institution that works primarily in American interests.

We have already had America laughed at by sincere members of the UN when Donald Trump was president. America's current handling of the tragedy in the Middle East happening and getting worse by the hour has America in danger of being estranged from an institution most valuable to it.

America can not become an outlaw.
