Largely thanks to international trade we don't war with our neighbors as we did even a 100 years ago.

The free flow of goods, services and people, while not a Guarantee of peace and stability, it certainly works in that direction. Western European countries are not attacking each other as they did. The U.S. is not at war with the UK or even with China.

Globalization and capitalism are being wholly attacked today. Fair enough that we access the value of these systems. Both come with downsides and if those can be addressed honestly and accurately they can be minimized. We don't want to throw out the parts that have contributed to our wealth and well being.
