To give Biden credit. The infrastructure investment will bring the U. S. GDP up almost half a percent. That's significant. American households are now paying about $3500 per year due to failing infrastructure. Also these packages are to be spent over time and add little to inflation.

Inflation is a problem but it's probably wise to keep the economy a little hot as protection from still further COVID outbreaks.

What Biden could immediately do is remove tariffs on Chinese goods. They achieve little and would return about $1000 to average household year.
