I agree with you Caren. But having gone down that road of nation building.

I recall being flabbergasted 20 years ago at the insanity of taking on Afghanistan. I'm reading Tony Blair's book "A Journey My Political Life" where he explains HIS actions -- passionate and well meaning, just not convincing. Great writer and full of wit.
