Hossein, the U.S. has been behind with events in Ukraine. America had spent its public support on Afghanistan and Iraq. There was nothing left in the kitty.

Thomas Friedman in NYT May 22, 2022 "My Lunch with President Biden" offered praise to Joe for his achievements in Ukraine without a single soldier lost.

This struck me. If the protection of international law and our democratic way of life is threatened, then why not without a single American soldier at risk? I don't wish for fatalities of our soldiers, but considering our security is at stake, risking our military personnel would be appropriate. Especially with the backdrop of an American declaration that we would defend Taiwan at an unknown cost.

I value your voice on this. Many thanks.
