Netanyahu has made America into his big chump. He continues to bait Iran into an expanding military conflict, having been assured that the U.S. will defend Israel.

Apart from the 40,000 dead and almost total destruction of Gaza, Netanyahu has massively failed Israel. The promises of Hamas destroyed and hostages returned have not been achieved. In addition, a further 1,000 Israelis have lost their lives, and territory (within Israel) has become uninhabitable.

Israeli citizens must wake up and challenge their leadership, which has placed Israel on a dangerous course of insecurity, dropping prosperity, and alienation from the world.

American leadership could turn the tables on Netanyahu, not by abandoning Israelis, but by setting a new set of conditions that would include the protection of Israelis. Biden should be addressing the Knesset.
