Hope Cox, I'm talking about a very basic likability. Comfortably connecting with an audience and can be independent of the script.

On the list of the greats: Trump (plays his audience), Bill Clinton and Obama (both brilliant orators), Buttigieg (excellent and gets better), Sanders (old sea dog), Mario Cuomo, Reagan (kept it simple as did FDR)

And the weak: DeSantis (his attacks are camouflage to his discomfort), Hillary Clinton (small groups are OK), Elizabeth Warren (the selfie was an attempt to fill a deficiency of connection), Gore (NEVERconnects), Dukakis (should have driven off in the tank)
