Joe’s Vice Presidential pick now has become pretty important. A few months back I was advocating that he grab the first person, any person, from the street. The role being as important as an extra on a film set as Joe’s production was never going to make it to the big house.
It’s now changed of course as Donald is piloting his plane into the ground at great speed.
This time we have to really think of VP as President. Joe is the fortunate unfortunate. He was dropped in Iowa and New Hampshire only to be resurrected by South Carolina voters and the Democrat establishment terrified that Bernie was about to catch the nomination. OK, so we have Joe in a basket on wheels pointed to the White House. This is the time Joe can make one good decision or not.
Retaining decorum is all that is needed to secure the office. If Joe’s maintenance crew can keep him patched together and when pressed remove his gag periodically to both let him breathe and show America that he is still kind of working, then Joe will find himself in the White House.
