For example, we can successfully argue that Saudi Arabia challenges our view on human rights. Its de facto leader, MBS, chops up his detractors into parts that can fit into trash bags.

Do we approve of this? No.

But will we speak to and do business with MBS and Saudi Arabia? Yes. We are because it's in America's interests and, at this moment, is likely a vital component to the plight of the Palestinians, stability of Israel, and the Middle East.
