Perhaps a little more pragmatism on behalf of everyone would tame the rhetoric into discussion -- which includes listening of course. A reach for realism from idealism maybe.

We have an enormous divide not just in income and wealth but in opportunity. Until this is corrected I think there will be hate and division.

What can be done? We can talk to people who are different from ourselves. Military conscription works but not appetizing to all. Exchange programs though between city and country schools may help. Generally encouraging people to settings and forums to discuss -- particularly at the local level.
