Good article Walter Rhein. Well done.

Sure, a smarter Donald could have gone into a second term and done irreversible damage to the US -- and the world.

Donald's own ineptness held him back. It can be argued that without 200,000 deaths due to the pandemic he would have won again against a largely uninspiring candidate. It was a sorry testimont that the election was as close as it was.

Your article is of course about the future and what we can next expect? How comfortable can we be from having our democracy clobbered by another? A bright side is that Donald and Corona have uncovered not only vulnerabilities in our democracy but some of the undelying reasons why such a President surfaced in the first place. I see the overiding problem is one of inequality of income, wealth and opportunity and this needs fixing now. for us to move on.

I have written a number of articles that are also here on MEDIUM. "Donald's Ship Needs Sinking", "Donald and Corona -- Let them work for Us" and "Wings to Fly" are three. I invite your reading and comments.

Best to you. Many thanks.
