Conservatives are currently at a low point with no real plans or visions for moving forward. McConnell says as much when he talks of building nothing except fire walls. Unfortunately the Republican Party really isn't at the moment -- it's more like a cult of followers that houses no room for discussion and certainly no decent. You can argue that the politics have been removed.
