Good article Sylain Saurel.
Although, there may be better ways of confronting inequality apart from taxing the ultra rich and raising minimum wages. Both in practice are somewhat clumsy and actually may not achieve the intended results.
An alternative is to move income and corporate tax into a VAT. Companies make purchases in production and this would be subject to tax. Also companies who are busy generating wealth but not profits (eg. Amazon) would have to pay tax as a part of doing business. The VAT is a flat tax leaving lower income folks paying a higher percentage because they spend more of their earning. This unfairness could be offset by something like Andrew Yang's basic income (although his $1000 per head per month is probably a bit light).
With the basic income there would be no need to even have a minimum wage. And, as Yang would have, other welfare programs would be transferred into the basic income program. I would also include farm subsidies and quite possibly medicare and medicaid.
Big business would move of course into an uncontrollable fit. But a plus to them could be a liberalizing of innovation, trade and (gasp) immigration.
I wrote a number of op-ed articles published by Hearst papers around this subject. An edition of one I have of MEDIUM "Happiness and Wealth --It Takes Two to Tango".
Many thanks
