Good article Caren and certainly don't worry about being repetitious. Get yourself blue in the face.

Complacency is a risk Democrats need constantly reminding of. There exits a complacency in the assumptions for the 2024 Democratic presidential candidate. You and I have brought the subject up many times (Is Kamala Harris Up to the Job of President?). I am having difficulty getting a particular Op-ed piece published in my regular papers I fear because Democrats just don't want to discuss it.

There may also be an adjacent complacency of "Oh well, if Trump runs -- he's not going to win anyway". This is both equally laze-fare and dangerous.

A thought is to shift focus away from Trump and the assorted opportunists because too often they are simply reinforced by the attention. Rather to pull some reasonable Rebublicans out of the tall grass. Keep asking hard questions of this group like "Are you not just as guilty behind the screen?"

Many thanks. Best to you.
