Golly, it's awful, Hossein,
Some thoughts.
Wouldn't the massacre be complete before the agreement to an embargo and its effects?
Many of your valid arguments against sanctions would apply. For instance, it would be costly and burdensome not only for the rich world.
The '70s embargo resulted in increased oil production worldwide. Getting tight control of supplies would be more difficult now.
More significant. Israel could dig in and harden its position—likewise, America.
We have tragedy and a mess. Netanyahu and his right-wing government must be replaced by a more central and pragmatic body. That is the decision of the Israelis, however. Netanyahu is unpopular, and dead twenty-year-old soldiers returning to families will make him more so.
A Palestinian State needs to be in the framework NOW and not post-war. It is central to a broad agreement in the region.
Best to you.
