Gerard. Amazon doesn't make profit in the traditional sense (same as others like Tesla) and hence pays zero corporate tax. Amazon is valuable because of its growth and people make money by investing in it. The company when it stops growing (and then has to pay dividend) would likely decline and go bust. Prices of their goods would rise on the way down. Bezos would be long gone.

If the U.S. switched to a VAT (Value Added Tax) and away from Corporate Tax then corporations like Amazon would be paying tax.
