George, this is the wrong way for Democrats to view this.

Relying on an opponent to consistently double-fault is a poor strategy for winning a tennis match.

Democrats would be wise to believe their Republican opposition is not Donald or even DeSantis but someone formidable. They must be focused on getting the best candidate for themselves regardless of the other side.

The lack of imagination that someone other than Joe Biden can do the presidential job is staggering.
