Generally a good soul.

Camp David was a significant achievement. He emphasized human rights but, unfortunately, linked them to trade, which meant little was achieved on either front (particularly the case in Central and South America, where opportunities were missed).

Jimmy Carter deregulated the airlines, and Americans who had never seen the inside of a plane could fly.
