Fay, the scene for 2024 is dismal.

On the Republican side is quasi-incumbent Donald Trump, who overshadows the other candidates. Nikki Halley may be able to win because it's a state-by-state incremental process. DeSantis needs to pack it in -- being UNLIKABLE is an insurmountable problem for being voted in as president.

Trump's dominance has much to do with Biden, who, from the outset, made Donald the centerpiece of his campaign and, in effect, elevated him. They need each other.

The Democratic Party is running an unnecessarily high risk by allowing Biden to stay (America is not a monarchy yet). I wrote "Just Watch Me." We Have Joe, and It's Time to Go, which I invite you to read.

Your points on mental health and isolation are most valid. Loneliness and lost aspiration are killers.

Many thanks, Best.
