I would be equally asking of a white male candidate for the presidency.

You and I would likely have policies more impressive than Donald Trump.

The economic proposals Harris has put forward are designed to win the election (which she must) rather than a future direction for America (e.g., tax-free tips income to win Nevada). While increasing the child tax credit is a credible way to increase economic mobility, her house-buying help is misguided, and curbing price gouging is popular nonsense.

Harris could map out directions for America rather than get into detailed strategic plans.

How do we gain more economic mobility? Is America to continue the protectionist policies introduced by Trump and continued by Biden? How can we accelerate our transition to a green economy? What is our relationship with China?

Harris should offer a framework for these and other questions of the way "Forward."
