Poor leadership of Israel and a flatfooted American response have multiplied the tragedy at least tenfold and vastly extended the timeline for resolution and a more secure and prosperous region.

Biden made a colossal mistake in giving Israel unconditional American support. He gave Netanyahu the OK to do his "Mighty vengeance" and became Bibi's stooge. No later, soft talk into ears would undo this.

What was in Biden's mind? Possibly nothing, and he just didn't get it or worried about his reelection.
