Biden and his supporters are waiting for time to close out an alternative nominee. They are unable to close the door on Biden being the best candidate. Frank Bruni wrote again on the issue in yesterday's NYT on the heels of Moreen Dowd's respect of Axelrod's analysis that Biden is a liability and should step down.
